Botanical Toners

Face toner is applied to the skin after cleansing and before moisturizing. Toners are used to help balance the pH of the skin, remove any remaining traces of dirt, oil, and makeup, and prepare the skin for the next steps in a skincare routine.

There are a number of potential benefits to using a face toner:

  • pH balancing: Face toners can help to balance the pH of the skin, which can be disrupted by cleansing and environmental factors. A balanced pH is important for maintaining the skin's natural barrier function and preventing irritation.

  • Deep cleansing: Face toners can help to remove any remaining traces of dirt, oil, and makeup that may not have been fully removed during cleansing.

  • Hydration: Some face toners contain hydrating ingredients, such as glycerin or aloe vera, which can help to moisturize and nourish the skin.

  • Prepping the skin: Face toners can help to prepare the skin for the next steps in a skincare routine by removing excess oil and minimizing the appearance of pores.

Why Should I use a Toner?

Toners are meant to be used after cleansing. They were recommended for restoring your skins pH level after the alkalizing effects of soap, but because we are looking at water-based toners, this effect isn’t relevant. Your skin will naturally restore it’s own pH level.

The main benefit of using a toner is to help repair and restore your skin’s surface. You have just cleansed it and now your skin is hungry. It is time to feed it nourishing ingredients, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Your skin can’t get enough.

A good facial toner can help provide your skin with what it needs to look younger, fresher and smoother.

Botanical toners are a unique blend of natural botanicals to instantly hydrate and tone the skin.
